Today we are talking about Korean indie vocalist Kimpomme. The singer started her solo career in 2020 but has been active in the Korean indie scene for a while. She’s also part of the band Ravie Nuage.
Today let’s talk about her solo works.
Solo debut
Her first solo project came out in 2020. The EP ‘Dear J’ is beautifully haunting and the first title track ‘Dear J’ has such a wonderful ambience.
The ballad ‘The Gleam’ came out a couple of months after. I love the small album description that came with it. “Nevertheless, a song sent to those who quietly radiate their own light while surviving every day.”
The last song to come out in 2020 was the ballad ‘Winter’ which came out on Christmas eve.
She didn’t release any solo work until just a couple of weeks ago. The single album ‘Love Poem’. We also featured it in our Weekly K-Indie report here.
I’m very excited to hear more of her music in the next couple of years. I think Kimpomme does a wonderful job in creating music that will soothe angry and deserted souls. It’s absolutely lovely and her vocals are brilliant.
