The guys from Golden Child are back and what a busy year they’ve had. After just a couple of months since their latest release they are back with the single album ‘Pump It Up’, including the title track with the same name and the singles ‘That Guy’ and ‘Lean On Me’. A few of the members took part in the writing of the singles. Let’s check them out.
‘Pump It Up’ starts off this release and this song feels like a warm and fresh spring breeze. It has a very lighthearted concept, with a catchy hook, soft visuals and a vibe that will put a smile on your face. Definitely a new side of Golden Child that reminded me a lot of their debut era.
Next we have ‘That Guy’ starting off with a beautifully played accompaniment and a more pop-ballad style. This song is completely different to the title track, it is heavy in instrumentation and the use of the members vocals is just stunning.
Playing with a more EDM/ Pop sound is ‘Lean on Me’ putting a closure to this well balanced and diverse single album.
