The Seventeen sub-unit BSS (booseoksoon) is back after five years with their new single album ‘SECOND WIND’. BSS consists out of Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi. We were fervant fans of ‘Just do it’ so we are absolutely stoked!
SECOND WIND
The single album contains three tracks. The first one is ‘Fighting’ featuring Lee Young Ji. This is literally giving the same energy and fun as their sub-unit debut.
The chorus is meaningful and hilarious due to its execution. The video is chaotic, bright and colorful which is a lot like their group dynamic.
‘LUNCH’ is up next. This is such a vibe! The instrumentation is a lot more experimental than what I was expecting. It’s quite neo soul but with a nice touch of R&B, that, together with the vocals and overall mixing creates a very funky track.
The last track is ‘7PM’ featuring Peder Elias who is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. This soft pop ballad was another unexpected addition. This is rather lovely and Peder’s vocals fit the others’ really well. I really enjoyed the vocal layering and the soft ad-libs here and there.
Overall BSS did not disappoint with ‘SECOND WIND’. Go ahead and listen to it here.
