You think you work hard but I can guarantee you that pH-1 works harder. Park Jun-won (a.k.a. Harry Park/pH-1) hasn’t stopped releasing music, he has many collabs, singles and today he dropped his new album ‘“X”, The Worst Mixtape’. I can tell you straight away that we will listen to some QUALITY music in this release. Let’s start this off.
“X”, The Worst Mixtape
‘Meet N Greet (사인회)’ featuring Kid Milli opens up this mixtape with incredible rhyming and a kick-ass flow. pH-1 and Kid Milli’s style and delivery blend extremely well and make this song a full trip for the listeners.
Featuring Simon Dominic and MUSHVENOM we have ‘OKAY’ and as expected this song is raw, strong and powerful. The beat of this song is unreal and I loved how smooth the transitions between the features were.
The title track ‘PACKITUP!’ is next and it is a strong contender to become my favourite track by pH-1. I totally dig the old school hip-hop vibes in the beat and the lyrics are just an elegant diss to the haters.
“(…) No white flag, no white flag, uh
Come here baby, hold my bag, uh
Call my mama, call my dad
We good for a lifetime
That’s a humble brag, uh
We used to walk around and
Have people laugh at us
Now Prada callin up cus we regulars (…)”

‘BLAME MY CIRCLE’ starts off featuring JUSTHIS and Owen and it is fire from start to end. The rhyming is unreal, the flow freaking incredible and I will always love listening to pH-1 singing with his groovy low-pitched vocals
Featuring H1GHR Music family is ‘Telefono’, this song goes everywhere. The beat is super interesting and the inclusion of Spanglish in the lyrics is just pure gold. H1GHR Music is packed with incredible talent and this track just shows off how amazing they are.
With a smooth start and an R&B feel mixed with old school hip-hop beats we have ‘FRONTIN’. I personally felt that this track shows how well rounded Jun-won is as an artist. His singing voice is just super soothing and it feels like a whisper in the ears.
‘ANYMORE‘ featuring ASH ISLAND is the second title track and it hits right in the heart, “I gave you my everything, All that we been through, Loved you more than me, You still blew the whistle (…)”, sad lyrics but an amazing and really touching delivery. Total legends.
BRADYSTREET and Verbal Jin are featured in ‘I CAN TELL’ and they bring some old school hip-hop to this mixtape. The mixing in this track is unreal and I really like the flow.
‘MORAGO’ is next featuring Blase and Coogie with a beat that gives this track a cypher feel that I totally dig. The sound overall is very underground but fits extremely well with the flow of this song and the features.
Closing this mixtape we have ‘DRESSING ROOM’ with a way softer tone. This song feels more personal and has the R&B vibe I personally love. The backing vocals gave this track a special touch and overall it felt like the cherry on top for this release.
‘“X”, The Worst Mixtape’ is undoubtedly one of the best releases by pH-1, he is an incredible lyricist and this full album is a non-skip, the features are incredible and every song is unique and has its own soul.
