[Review] YUJU – file.07

Our vocal queen YUJU is back with her latest EP ‘file.07’. We’re super stoked we’re getting new music. Yuju is credited in all of the tracks as lyricist and co-composer. Let’s jump right in!

We start off with ‘What comes after’. We’re starting off with a groove! The guitars are great here and I love the sass in her vocal storytelling.

Then comes the title track ‘Nameless’. This is an interesting rock ballad with beautiful instrumentation and of course, Yuju’s stunning vocal line. This was a wonderful, emotional listen.

‘Love Gamer’ featuring Junny follows that with a great beat and a bit of an R&B and rock blend. The chorus is catchy and will have you swinging along in no time. I love their voices together as well, it sounds lovely.

Next up is ‘SOS’. This one is a fun pop rock moment with catchy hooks and an even catchier chorus. This was a great listen and has a cool progression as well.

‘Rock Bottom’ brings us back to a rock ballad talking about a break-up where you feel relieved to move on, as it is better for you.

The closing track is ‘P.S.’ I love that this starts with her vocals alone, that makes it have an even bigger impression when the piano starts. This ballad is filled with bittersweet feelings of both wanting to move on and staying close at the same time.
