We’re back with the latest K-Indie chart, this time we’re taking a look at the bestselling artists of August.
This was quite a spectacular month, because the entire chart has changed from the July one.
Let’s start from the top!
MRCH released the EP ‘Mutualism’ at the beginning of July. In her album description she writes this: “It is my inseparable, tiresome companion that torments me but simultaneously propels me toward tomorrow. I have captured in this album the poignant “ugly hearts” of all of us—those who hate and envy, yet ultimately struggle desperately to resemble them.”

Kwon Jin Ah released her album ‘The Dreamest’ in 2025. She recently celebrated her 10 year anniversary and dropped the vinyl version of this album. She’s also on the chart with her new album ‘Save Me’.

Nerd Connection released their new EP ‘On the Crest of a Wave’ in July. I absolutely loved this line from their album description:
“Imperfect hopes washed ashore on the shore of memory, and regrets disguised as sorrow.
His youthful days were like waves approaching endlessly from beyond the horizon.
He printed the afterimages of himself standing precariously at the crests of every wave and placed them one by one into an album.”
