Our boy ONEW is back with his new mini-album ‘TOUGH LOVE’. Let’s take a closer look!
TOUGH LOVE
We start off with ‘Dot Dot Dot (…)’. It’s a cute and fun R&B track with kitschy lyrics and a cool momentum. I enjoyed this!
After that comes the title track ‘TOUGH LOVE’. The vocals are top notch in this one and I really liked the soft opening verse with the electronic chorus coming in. That was a really refreshing moment.
We’re going groovy and retro with ‘Flex on me’. This is playful and easy to sing along to. It’s witty and the layering with the ‘yeah’s is just a lot of fun. The echo effect during the bridge was cute.
‘Lie’ will have you shaking your hips in no time. The loop is fantastic and the chorus is just such a vibe. The vocals during the bridge are absolutely insane, like hello falsetto!
The closing track is ‘X, on Why?’ which takes a more electronic, EDM moment. This was pre-released as an encore stage.
