[Review] EVNNE – LOVE ANECDOTE(S): New Era of Sound and Style

EVNNE is back with their fifth mini-album ‘LOVE ANECDOTE(S)’, and they’ve once again managed to surprise us. Since debut, each comeback has unveiled a new charm, and this release is no exception. Let’s dive into it!

LOVE ANECDOTE(S)

Kicking things off with a bang, ‘dirtybop’ is a catchy, genre-blending opener co-produced by Omega Sapien. With hybrid hip-hop and Y2K electronic influences, this track is laid-back yet unpredictable. Its dynamic pacing and infectious energy make it an unforgettable start to the EP.

Keeping up the energy, the title track ‘How Can I Do’ continues with relaxed hip-hop vibes, but takes it up a notch. The vocals absolutely shine here, while the mix incorporates EDM beats and flawless sectioning that lets the rap-line fire off intense verses. One of our favorite title tracks by EVNNE yet!

The music video is urban, wild, and vibey—a visual delight with an effortless cool factor.

‘Mako’ brings in smooth house beats with a refreshing progression that screams summer party anthem. The mixing here is clean and vibrant—definitely a song made to be played loud.

We move into R&B beats with ‘love chat’, this groovy track features vibey synths and sensual vocal delivery. The rap-line contrasts perfectly, adding a playful but sharp edge that keeps things interesting.

‘PUT IT ON ME’ changes things up with its funky and sleek sound, this track boasts top-tier vocals and replay-worthy beat drops. The smooth transitions and crisp production make it an instant standout.

Wrapping up the EP is a single fully written and co-produced by Keita. ‘Newest’ dives into old-school hip-hop territory with punchy beats and a gritty flow. With title-track potential, this single is the perfect high-energy closer for an already epic mini-album.

EVNNE delivered a non-skip experience with ‘LOVE ANECDOTE(S)’. It’s bold, cohesive, and arguably one of their best release yet. Check it out now and see why we can’t stop replaying it.
