The boys from 82MAJOR are back with their mini-album ‘X-82’. Let’s take a closer look!
X-82
We start off with the title track ‘Stuck’. This is an alternative Hip-Hop track with a really cool layering. I dig all their instrumentals. It feels very oldschool and retro. The rap verses were really well done and the instrumental outro was cool as hell. The lyrics were written by Khundi Panda, Kvsh and IOAH.
The music video is a 10/10.
Next up is ‘Thorns’ which from the get-go captures your attention. I like the dichotomy between the hard verses and the more melodic chorus. It makes for an interesting listen and creates a lot of momentum.
After that comes ‘Face Time’. This is a slightly lighter track in ambience. We’re going for a trap rhythm with jazzy chords which creates a really fresh and dynamic track. The members participated in creating the lyrics and the composition.
The closing track is ‘Gossip’ with a very retro sound and a killer groove. I’m liking the pizzazz and the charisma the members are showing here. It’s a really cool listen and the playfulness with the rhythm creates a very cool effect.
