The first song recommendation this week is this heartfelt ballad by Epik High featuring the Malaysian artist Yuna. ‘No Different’ is one of my favorite songs in the latest Epik High’s record ‘Sleepless in ____’, a beautiful song about a struggling relationship even though there is a lot of love between them.
Love, passion and conflict make ‘No Different’ one of the best songs to listen to on a chilly or rainy day with a cup of hot chocolate and your favorite book.
Number 2: Sia – One Million Bullets
Sia is probably one of the best artists in the industry, she writes, composes and produces songs not just for herself but also for the very top artists of the American music industry. On top of that she also has one of the most powerful voices I’ve ever heard in my life. In this ballad ‘One Million Bullets’ she sings about how far she would go to protect her loved one but she also wonders if this person would do the same for her.
An interesting fact about this song is that out of the entire album, it is the only one she wrote for herself.
If you enjoy powerful voices mixed with meaningful lyrics, this is definitely the song for you.
Number 3: iKON – Beautiful
My third recommendation this week is completely different from the first two. ‘Beautiful’ is a pop song that will lighten your day. Because of its lively beats mixed with powerful vocals and rapping, it is my favorite song to listen to on a sunny day while walking down the street, strolling on the beach or even running.
