Our boys from Xdinary Heroes are back with their new mini-album ‘Beautiful Mind’. Let’s take a closer look at this comeback!
Beautiful Mind
We start off with ‘FIGHT ME’. This is an alternative metal track with aggressive synths and killer vocals. The bridge is insane and honestly this is just a super rad track. I love the fact that SAAY co-wrote the lyrics.
Next up is the title track ‘Beautiful Life‘ and the guitars are epic in this one. This progression is wild and so, so amazing to listen to. ‘Beautiful Life’ is probably one of their best title tracks to date. It’s kind of crazy how much they’ve grown as musicians in such a short time. Big kudos to them!
We’re getting a metal ballad (which is a rather unexpected combo) with ‘more than I like’. I liked this description: “The lyrics melt self-esteem and anxiety that diminish in the face of love.”
‘Diamond’ brings explosive rock with a fast pace and a lot of drive. I enjoyed the momentum and the crazy pre-chorus. This is a lot of fun!
Next up is ‘Supernatural’. This is a stunning ballad with beautiful vocals and a slower pace. The vocals shine here and this is just lovely!
‘George The Lobster’ is based on this story of the really old lobster found in Canada. “The song contains the fate of having to overcome a fierce life with endless challenges.” It’s a really cool rock track with powerful drums and a surprisingly soft pre-chorus.
The closing track is ‘BBB (Bitter but Better)’. It starts with chanting, so I was already sold from the first couple of seconds. “It tells the story that although you may have thought my decorated appearance was my real self, once you take a bite, you can meet my real, raw self that is not pretentious or artificial and is more attractive.” I’m obsessed with the guitar solo in the outro.
