The girlies from VIVIZ are back with their first full-length of ‘A Montage of ()’. We’re super stoked because they’ve been delivering iconic music. Let’s dive right in!
A Montage of ()
We open the album with the title track ‘La La Love Me’ which is a dance pop blend with a catchy hook and a lovely melody. It describes the process of falling in love and the confidence of having that love returned.
‘Hands Off My Heart’ comes up next with a very impressive bass. We’re sticking with the dance pop blend but we’re adding a more vintage sensibility to it.
After that we get ‘Citrus’. The pop track also boasts an impressive bass and has a cool progression and overall vibe. The lyrics are quite poetic! This was a lovely listen.
‘Sticker’ goes for a darker sound with some electro pop with cool strings in the instrumentation and the ‘ooh aah’s gave me literal chills. The lyrics were written by Colde, yukon and Milena! This one is super dope.
‘Toxic’ is an R&B pop track with cool chords, and a rhythmic bassline. I really enjoyed the layering of this and the vocals in this!
Next up come the three solo tracks. We get ‘Hipnotic’ which is the SINB solo, there’s ‘Love Language’ which is the UMJI solo and Eunah’s solo ‘Milky Way’.
‘Hipnotic’ is a really fun hip-hop dance blend with trap beats and an 8008 bass. It’s powerful, sexy and a total vibe. The strings in the instrumentation were lovely!
‘Love Language’ is an R&B pop blend with a lot of groove. I really enjoyed the chorus and the descending tone which gives it an iconic momentum. The electric guitar that comes in was dope.
‘Milky Way’ is a funky pop track where they play with rhythm and this was a really fun listen! It’s groovy, playful and has a certain bounce to it. It feels a bit retro as well!
We’re closing off with ‘Wildflower’. This is a mid-tempo R&B song that “poetically expresses a solid love that blooms at every moment with lyrics that compare it to wild flowers.” It’s a lovely listen and feels very warm. The members also convey their sincerity towards the fandom.
Go ahead and listen to ‘A Montage of ()’ by VIVIZ.
