The girls from UNIS are back with their second mini-album ‘SWICY’. We’re super curious about this spicy + sweet combo, so let’s dive right in!
SWICY
The album starts off with ‘From a seed called ‘hey, what’s up?‘ In the track the girls are discovering their exciting first love. It’s an adorable pop track with a solid snare in the instrumentation. A very cute listen. The high notes from the adlibs are kind of wild.
Next up is their title track ‘SWICY‘. This is another super fun track, this time with a bit more of a rock instrumentals mixed with a fast-paced cute synth. It’s an interesting combination that works and creates a wholesome and adorable track.
‘DDANG!’ comes up next. I wasn’t really sure where the track was going during the first listen. I enjoyed the playful switches of tempo and the bass that came in. The chorus is super catchy and the outro is lovely.
‘Good feeling’ is a bit more R&B based with solid vocals and a good beat. This was a really nice listen that’ll only get better with time.
The album closes with ‘Spring Rain’. I really enjoyed the piano riffs in this one. There are a lot of fun samples in the instrumentation as well.
