The girls from TripleS are back to stun with ‘Visionary Vision <Performante>’. This is the first release of the dance-oriented unit. The line-up consists of Jeong HyeRin, Kim YooYeon, Kim NaKyoung; Gong YuBin, Kaede, Kotone, Kwak YeonJi, Nien, Park SoHyun, Xinyu, Lynn and JiYeon.
Let’s take a closer look!
Visionary Vision <Performante>
We start off with ‘Visual Virtue’. This instrumental intro introduces several of their previous hooks. It’s a cool opener!
Next up is their new title track ‘Hit The Floor’. This is a really fun, high energy track. The song is all about breaking down prejudice about girls. For the sound we’re combining boom bap with dance. The bass is crazy and helps carry the song. The layering is well done and helps keep it fresh.
‘Choom’ is about finding your dreams through dancing. This is a cute pop rock track with a solid build-up and a cool chorus. I like the playfulness with the tempo and intensity changes. This is a really solid listen! I especially liked the little harmony section before the drop in the chorus.
Next up is ‘éclair’. We’re going retro in this one with Italian dance tune. It’s a lot of fun and the instrumentals are fire. The beat change after the chorus was cool and the synth is just a top pick. I loved this!
‘Love Soseol’ comes along with pure girl group core. This is a sweet pop track with fun layering and cool synths. I like this song a lot as it feels like a retro, early 2000s girl group sound. The vocals are sweet and soft.
After that we get ‘Atmosphere (VV Ver.)’. This is the Visionary Vision version of the track ‘Atmosphere’ which was originally released on ‘LOVELution’ from last year.
’12 rings’ is such a cute pop track! I love the layering with the various adlibs. The brass in the instrumental is of course, also a major win. The chorus is such bubblegum pop moment. I’m going to obsess over this, I can just tell. I LOVE.
Next up comes ‘Vision’. This is a really lovely retro pop track co-written by Modhaus music director BADD. Member Park So-Hyun wrote the lyrics. I really enjoyed the opener for this one. The progression of this single was super nice and honestly this is just major ear candy.
‘Bionic Power’ is a cool dance track with a funky synth in the instrumental. Honestly this is giving me a lot of power. The beat is a vibe and a half and overall is hella catchy. The bridge is pretty!
After that we close off with the outro ‘Visionary Vision’.
