Rookie group ODD YOUTH is back with their first mini-album ‘I Like You’! After debuting in late 2024 with the single album ‘Best Friendz’, we were curious (and excited) to see what this vibrant group would bring to the table for their first comeback. Spoiler alert: they did not disappoint. Let’s dive in!
I Like You
The mini-album kicks off with ‘Spooky’, a playful and dynamic track that instantly grabs attention. With a unique vocal style and creative mixing, this song is packed with unexpected build-ups and clever transitions. It’s quirky, bold, and very ODD YOUTH.
Next up is the title track ‘I Like You’, which continues the chaotic-fun vibe with a super unique arrangement featuring clap beats, bouncing instrumentals, and EDM-driven rhythm. The vocal layering here is chef’s kiss, and the bridge-to-outro sequence totally blew us away.
The music video for ‘I Like You’ is basically a fever dream in technicolor—playful, bold, and full of summer energy. The aesthetics are vibrant and refreshing, with just the right touch of unhinged fun.
‘Bubble Bubble’ slows things down just a little, giving us sugary-sweet vocals and soft instrumentals. It’s a lovely track that shows a more tender and innocent side of the group—cute, dreamy, and perfect for easy listening.
From sweet to sizzling, ‘Hot Chicken’ flips the script with a hard-hitting hip-hop vibe. The rap sections are fiery, the mixing is on point, and the drops are extremely satisfying. This one’s a total energy booster!
Finally, the mini-album wraps up with ‘Bestie’, a confidence-packed anthem bursting with EDM beats, charismatic rapping, and energetic ad-libs. The hook is club-ready and unforgettable. A perfect and legendary way to close this debut-era comeback.
With ‘I Like You’, ODD YOUTH delivers a super fresh, bold, and creatively chaotic mini-album that feels like a statement: they’re here, and they’re not afraid to be different. It’s only their first comeback—and we’re already excited for what’s next.
