The girls from KiiiKiii officially debuted today with their mini-album ‘Uncut Gems’. we’re super curious to see which direction they’re taking so let’s take a closer look!
Uncut Gems
The EP starts off with the pre-release single ‘DEBUT SONG‘. I can totally see the Lil’ Cherry and Gold Buddha influence as they’re both wrote and composed the track. I love it.
‘GROUNDWORK’ is up next and has a playful 808 beat with vintage synths. I really enjoyed the chorus as it’s quirky and memorable!
Next up is the second pre-release track ‘I DO ME‘.
‘There They Go’ is a super fun track with cool synths and a lot of interesting vocal chopping. This feels so quintessential experimental K-pop. It brings me back to f(x) days. I dig it! It’s super groovy.
Next up is the title track ‘BTG’. ‘Been That Girl’ is going to be stuck on repeat for a while! This is a really cool synth wave – meets early Y2K with really funny rap verses and a catchy hook. Honestly this is a fantastic debut title track.
The last track of the EP is ‘ONE OFF’. This is a pop R&B blend that tells the story of the members’ debut and training.
