After amazing performances and stealing the fans’ hearts in ‘QUEENDOM 2‘, the girls from Kep1er are back with their second mini-album ‘DOUBLAST‘. We have been checking the sneak peaks, and this release screams summer bops.

DOUBLAST
The title track ‘Up!‘ starts off the release and as expected this single is a refreshing and fun summer single. The changes of beats and vibe of this single is very cool and full of energy. The slow down for pre-hook of the second chorus was SMOOTH, the vocals were just amazing. I really liked the line distribution for this song, I felt that all the members had the chance to shine in the song.
For the music video, we get a mix of summer aesthetics and the members going on adventures. The GCI is super extra but it really worked well for the vibe of the song. The members as expected look incredible and the choreography is neat. Watch it below.
With a lovely guitar riff we get ‘LE VOYA9E‘, this single is super charming and takes listener on a journey. The vocals, the delivery and full composition are super good, the whispers in the pre-chorus were amazing and every time they said “Chikitaka” I got goosebumps. The power.
Summer bops
‘Attention‘ follows up and for this song we get an up beat track that had me hyped up. The hook for this single is super good, it moves fast and creates a momentum of unlimited energy. The rapping and vocals are amazing and make this song an energising listen.
With pop and EDM beat ‘Good Night‘ plays, this song is definitely cuter and a lot more chill than its predecessors, it is a very easy listen with awesome harmonies and soft vocalisation. Closing this mini-album we get ‘Rewind‘ starting with acoustic piano and guitar. This single feels a lot like a fan single with its composition and vocal delivery. It is super soft and the orchestration is fantastic. The narration at the end is ADORABLE, definitely a solid ending for this EP.
