[Review] Kep1er – CRACK CODE

Our girls from Kep1er are back with new music in their 8th mini-album ‘CRACK CODE‘. With every release, they continue to grow and refine their sound, and we couldn’t wait to see what they had in store this time. Let’s dive right in.

CRACK CODE

I am Kep1‘ kicks off the release on a strong hip-hop note. The members deliver confident, aggressive rap flows, balanced by smooth harmonies that add depth to the track. It’s an empowering opener that immediately sets the tone, and they absolutely nailed it.

The title track ‘KILLA (Face the other me)‘ follows, diving into a darker EDM and hip-hop fusion. The production feels trendy yet polished, with satisfying beat drops, layered vocals, and a dynamic progression. This track showcases a bold, edgier side of Kep1er that feels both fresh and exciting.

MIC CHECK‘ introduces a new vibe to their discography, leaning into a smoother, alternative sound. The R&B-inspired harmonies paired with dreamy instrumentals make this track a standout, offering a more laid-back but equally captivating listen.

We then move into lo-fi R&B territory with ‘Lowkey‘. This track highlights the group’s softer side, with delicate vocals, rich layering, and subtle ad-libs that create a dreamy and immersive atmosphere. It’s an easy, satisfying listen that flows beautifully.

Closing the EP is ‘Addicted 2 Ya‘, a dance-pop track with strong 2000s influences. The arrangement builds toward a satisfying hook, delivering a dramatic and fun finale. It’s a refreshing twist that shows yet another side of the group—and a memorable way to end the album.

Kep1er once again prove their growth, delivering a release that feels cohesive, dynamic, and full of personality. This might just become one of our favorite projects from them yet. Make sure to give it a listen and let us know your thoughts.
