[Review] CATCH THE YOUNG – EVOLVE

The boys from the pop rock band CATCH THE YOUNG released their first full-length album ‘EVOLVE’. Let’s take a closer look!

We start off with the intro track ‘Evolution : Prelude’. This is a groovy, synthy rock opening.

Next up is the first title track ‘Amplify’. This new wave rock track with a solid melody and a rather catchy chorus. The bass in the bridge is dope as hell.

” Just as a small tremble on stage expands into a massive storm with the audience’s cheers, this song captures the passionate present of Catch the Young, pushing the energy of the music to its limits and advancing forward.”

We’re going synthy with the track ‘Stay in the dream’. This is a super solid track with really rad guitars and a very nice vocal layering with plenty of adlibs.

‘Sail’ is a pop rock ballad and is also the second title track of the album. It’s a lovely number that will give you chills and leave you with lots of big feelings and a frog in your throat.

‘Better Days’ is about the mixed and bittersweet feelings after a break-up. I enjoyed the storytelling and the overall progression.

Next up is ’28 Hours’ that starts with a super groovy opening. I really like how they went full circle and ended the track with the beginning motif.

We’re getting absolutely shredding guitars, an organ and an insane layering with ‘From now on’. This is hella groovy and hella dope. Also insane bridge!

‘I’m already in love with you’ starts with an old-timey piano, jazzy vocals, and a dash of oldschool romanticism. This was an adorable, retro listen.

‘Addicted’ is all about toxic relationships and has a grungy, dramatic vibe to it. I like it!

‘Hurricane’ comes up next and starts again with some fabulous grungy guitars. ‘Alive’ adds some synths to the instrumentals which makes for fun listen. The lyrics are inspiring and empowering.

After that we get ‘Reperio’. I really enjoyed the funky rhythm! ‘To You, Standing Before Me’ is a softer moment. This rock ballad has a great progression, a lovely guitar solo and even some twinkling piano in the instrumental. The vocal is just lovely.

The closing track is ‘The Young Wave (2026 remix)’ which is a remix of their 2025 single.
