Debut and Early Releases

Jhnovr, born Lee Ji-sang, made his debut in 2017 under the label Badtrip. His debut EP, Escape From The Late Night, introduced listeners to an alternative Hip-Hop style infused with experimental beats and autotune, laying the foundation for his unique musical identity.

In mid-2018, Jhnovr transitioned to WEDAPLUGG RECORDs and released the single a little bit more, showcasing a smoother arrangement that highlighted his vocal abilities. This marked a pivotal shift towards a more refined and vocal-centric sound.

Joining IMJMWDP and Prolific Releases

By 2019, Jhnovr had joined the IMJMWDP crew, a collective that included artists from Indigo Music, Just Music, and WEDAPLUGG RECORDS. That year proved to be incredibly productive, with Jhnovr releasing five singles and two EPs, Mechanism and Dirty Messiah. These projects demonstrated his growing versatility and willingness to push musical boundaries.

First Full-Length Album

In 2020, Jhnovr kicked off the year with a collaboration with pH-1 on the single HHH. This was followed by several pre-release singles that built anticipation for his first full-length album, A Nocturnal Visit. The album showcased a more mature sound, blending alternative R&B with his signature experimental style.

Continued Evolution and Latest Releases

After a brief hiatus, Jhnovr returned in 2022 with the EP Human Nature, featuring collaborations with artists like Samuel Seo, INJAE, En, and Huh!. This EP marked another step in his evolution, with a sound that became increasingly vocal-focused and diverse.

In 2023, Jhnovr released several singles, including Trust Me featuring Roh Yun Ha, Drip, and Let it go featuring Skinny Brown, each adding new layers to his ever-evolving sound.

As an independent artist, Jhnovr began 2023 with the tender R&B ballad How Much I Love You, followed by Something and the edgy single Fxxk U. These tracks continue to showcase his ability to reinvent his sound while maintaining the essence of his musical identity.
