In this edition of Rapper In The Spotlight, we’re diving into the discography of a recent discovery of ours — an artist who’s been releasing music as a soloist since 2016 but whose roots in the Korean hip-hop scene go even deeper. Let’s talk about JaeDal.
JaeDal first entered the hip-hop scene in 2013 as part of the crew Legit Goons. Three years later, he made his solo debut with the single album ‘Back To The Island’, Begin and its title track ‘World In My Mind’, a song that would later find its place in his first EP ‘Adventure’ (2017).
In 2018, he returned with the EP ‘Period’, describing it as:
“To those who have been through this time, are going through this time, and will go through this time.
Dedicated to you with love.”
During these early years, JaeDal’s music stood out for its rich, experimental instrumentals and his distinctive flow, a style that would become one of his trademarks.
His 2019 EP ‘Come and go’ further showcased his range. After a few single releases in 2020, JaeDal dropped his first full album.
First Album: Bomb Head
With ‘Bomb Head’, JaeDal pushed his artistry even further, blending old-school hip-hop with alternative EDM beats and indie textures. The result? A refreshingly eclectic album that cemented his reputation as a boundary-pushing artist.
In 2021, he released the singles ‘Struggle’ and ‘Balance’ before stepping away from solo work for a while.
Second Album: Time Attack
In June 2025, JaeDal made his much-anticipated solo comeback with ‘Time Attack’. This release revealed a more mature side of his artistry while retaining the unique, refreshing edge that fans love.
From his early days in Legit Goons to his latest experimental ventures, JaeDal is a true master of reinvention. His discography is a treasure trove for anyone seeking innovative, genre-blending hip-hop and his production work is equally worth exploring.
