We’re back with a new Ode To The Artist and this time we’re going all in on ballads with Maktub.
Maktub is a Korean singer-songwriter who has been active in the industry since 2011, which is pretty impressive. On his Melon profile he has 200 composing credits and 137 songwriting credits.

Since Maktub has released more than sixty albums, I can hardly feature all of them. So for brevity I thought it’d be best to share some of his most popular work.
His 2019 single ‘To You My Light’ featuring Raon is one of his most popular singles to date.
There’s also his very popular 2014 single ‘Marry Me’ featuring Yoo Yeonjung. I literally cannot get over this album cover. It is so early 2010s I can’t.
‘The Eternal Moment’ was also a hit. To be honest, the entire album ‘SPACE OPERA (Red Moon: Complete Edition’ was quite frankly an incredible listen. Check out ‘Ode to the stars’ as well.
‘Happiness’ featuring Lee Raon from 2020 is also worth a listen.
‘Snow Flower’ is his most recent comeback. This ballad came out last week.
