Ode To The Artist: Lee Moon-Sae

We’re back with a new Ode To The Artist and this time we’re focusing on the iconic Lee Moon-Sae who’s been making waves in the industry since 1978. Let’s take a look!

Debut

Lee Moon-Sae debuted in 1978 at twenty-years-old. He has an absolute prolific career behind him and still continues to make fantastic music. Even this week he’s released the pre-release for his upcoming seventeenth full-length album. He has had people love him as a musician and as a radio host.

For brevity, as he has released more than 500 songs, we’ll be focusing on the most popular and some of our own personal favorites.

This was from his album ‘Even the Wanderer Has the Share for the sky’ from 1982.

‘I am a happy man’ was his first full album.

‘The Best’ was his second full album.

This viral performance was created from his track ‘Little girl’ from his third album which came out in 1985.

The title track of that album won the main prize at the Golden Disk Awards.

His fourth album is still one of the most bestselling albums of Korea.

After that he was a household name and artists have covered his songs and created their own renditions.

On his album from 1999 there’s the stunning ballad with none other than Lee Sora.

We’re already in 2011 with his thirteenth album.

He went through a bit of a re-brand in 2015.

This particular video is what made me fall in love with his vocals six years ago.

That, together wtih his collaboration with Zion. T.

‘Love even in goodbyes’ is his pre-release for his upcoming album which will be dropped in 2025. We’re already stoked, as I’m sure it will be a solid album with beautiful lyrics and stories.
