We’re back with a new Ode To The Artist and this time we’re taking a look at this stunning discography of Jang Hye-Jin.
Jang Hye-Jin is an absolute legend in the Korean music world. She debuted in 1991 with her self-titled album.
The year after she became a household name as she voiced the chorus for the popular track ‘In the Time Spent with You.’ by Seo Taiji and The Boys.
In 1993 Jang came out with her second album ‘Whiteism’.
Her third album was released in ‘Before the party’.
After her fourth album ‘Tempation’ she took a small break as she was being treated for vocal nodules.
With the album ‘Dream’ she made her comeback in ’98.
In 2001 and 2002 she released a ‘Best of’ album.
It wasn’t until 2006 that Jang came back with new music. She studied in Berkelee College for 3 years. Her new album was called ‘4 season story’.
Whereas before there was a heavy focus on power ballads and R&B, in 2007 she surprised everyeone with Dance album ‘Tomboy’.
In 2021 Jang Hye-Jin celebrated her 30 year anniversary since debut with the PE ‘RE:main’.
Jang is one powerful vocalist who’s delivered fantastic music for more than thirty years. What an absolute icon!
