We’re back with a new K-Indie Chart and this time we’re taking a look at the bestsellers from the month February. We have quite a few newcomers and changes compared to last month’s chart. So let’s take a closer look!
K-INDIE CHART

The band Nerd Connection is back on top of the chart with their album ‘And yet, We still’ which was released in 2024. You can read our review about this album here.
Car, the garden dropped a reissue print of the 2017 album ‘APARMENT’. This is such an iconic album and still has an amazing sound.
A newcomer to the top 10 is jisokuryClub with their debut EP ‘orientation’ from 2022.
Heo Hoy Kyung was in the chart from last month and we wrote the review for that album here. The Black Skirts are frequent inhabitants of a spot, this time they have two. Choi Yu Ree dropped a few spots from last month’s chart, as did Kim Feelsun. The band TOUCHED are also frequent flyers with their album ‘Yellow Supernova Remnant’.
Car, the garden – APARTMENT
This is such an insane time capsule to me. This was released in the first few months I started discovering Korean music and I remember replaying this a lot. It’s how I discovered OHHYUK and consequently HYUKOH, Sunwoo Jung A and O3ohn.
The album opens with ‘Island‘ featuring OHHYUK. This is the title track and introduces the listeners to the wonderful tunes and tones of the album. I love the progression of this track and the combination of the vocals and the organ.
Next up is the incredibly smooth ‘Just Another Day’. This track has some really interesting pauses and build-ups making it very dynamic. Also the guitars are lovely!
‘Lost 2′ has such an incredible flow to it. I love the powervocals of both Car, the garden and Sunwoo Jung A.
After that comes ‘Home Sweet Home‘. This has such a nice flow to it. It’s a little bit of a folk rock moment and according to the album introduction: “The lyrics are a mix of the days I hated going home alone and the story of my best friend who lives in regret every day.”
We’re going for a rock moment with ‘444′. I am obsessed with this track. The drums are sick and the full band goes ham. It’s a shame it’s such a short track, clocking in just over two minutes.
‘Don’t leave me alone’ was arranged by Najam-soo of the band Sultan of the Disco. It’s a rock track, but more slow-paced than the previous one. The vocal layering here is so nice, I loved the little ad-libs.
‘Beyond’ has a feature by O3ohn which creates such musical chemistry. The strings, the guitars, the emotional vibrancy, this all just meshes so well. I love this one so much.
‘Bye’ and ‘Blue Blue’ are two slower tracks. ‘Bye’ is a piano ballad and ‘Blue Blue’ has a very chillwave vibe to it.
Next up is ‘Mother’. This brings us a rock moment with a fast pace and super sick guitars. I like the laidback way he sings the word ‘mother’.
The closing track is ‘Together’. This had been pre-released as a single before the release of the album. It’s a stunning piano ballad.
