We’re back with a new Indie Pick and this time we’re taking a closer look at indie singer-songwriter Jungumul.
Jungumul debuted in 2019 with the single ‘Blue’. I absolutely love how dreamy this sounds. The combination of the synths with the twangy guitar is wonderful.
A couple of months later he also released the single ‘green’.
Jungumul also came out with the singles ‘Home’ and ‘Happy’ that year. ‘Happy’ especially is one of my favorites. I love the opening instrumental.
In 2020 he dropped the two singles ‘I want to live with you’ and ‘old man’.
The year after he only released one single: ‘Today was the day I wasn’t loved by anyone’. If this single doesn’t evoke any emotion in you, I don’t know what will.
This year he has already dropped three singles: ‘dream’ featuring Yeeun Song, ‘my little’ and ‘bye my world’.
Sadly he doesn’t seem to have any live videos or music videos yet. Let’s hope that is in the pipeline for at least one of his tracks.
I think Jungumul is definitely an underrated gem who has a lot of potential to shine.
