Jin Young began his entertainment career in 2011 with a role in the KBS drama ‘Dream High 2’, followed by ‘When a Man Loves’ in 2013. By 2014, he had debuted as part of the boy group GOT7, but he never left acting behind.
His career steadily built momentum with supporting roles like ‘This is My Love’ (2015) and ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ (2016). That same year, he made his film debut in the indie feature ‘A Stray Goat’, showcasing his depth as an actor.
Stepping Into the Spotlight
2018 marked a turning point as Jin Young landed his first lead role in ‘He Is Psychometric’. This was followed by a string of high-profile projects including ‘When My Love Blossoms’, ‘The Devil Judge’, and ‘Yumi’s Cells’ (2020–2021).
In 2022, he returned strong with Season 2 of ‘Yumi’s Cells’, the action-packed ‘Yaksha: Ruthless Operations’, and the critically noted ‘Christmas Carol’.
After a short break, 2024 saw him in ‘Chicken Nugget’, and he made a full-fledged comeback with lead roles in ‘The Witch’, the movie ‘Hi-5’, and the Netflix original ‘Our Unwritten Seoul’.
