The boys from P1Harmony are back with their new EP ‘DISHARMONY: BREAK OUT’. Let’s dive right in, because I’m expecting quality and bops.

DISHARMONY: BREAK OUT

We start off with the title track ‘Scared’. This song is such an interesting combination between EDM fused hip-hop and an almost ballad style in the vocal parts. Some of the instrumentation reminds me of a xylophone which brought me back to my school days. Jiung, Intak, Jongseob co-wrote the lyrics.

I’m very intrigued by the aesthetics of the music video.

‘Reset’ follows that with a more old-school hip-hop style. It still hits hard, but in a different way than the title track ‘Scared’. This is the kind of song that you blast through your car radio while driving on the highway. It’s dope! Members Keeho, Jiung, Intak, Jongseob have writing credits.

Next up is ‘Pyramid’ which starts off as hip-hop over a classical orchestration but then switches vibe to R&B guitars and interesting synths. There is so much happening in the instrumentation, it begs for multiple listens. This is such a cool song, I think it’s one you won’t get tired of easily. Also that bridge is lovely! Jiung, Intak, Jongseob have credits on this one.

Next up

‘YAYAYA’ follows that with an impressive opening. Lee Seunghyub from the group N.FLYING that’s under the same agency has the writing credits for this one. It’s contemporary hip-hop with some impressive vocals that makes it merge so well as a whole. The instrumentation is Tomorrowland material, especially in the bridge.

We’re on track 5 with ‘End it’ and it immediately grabs your attention and doesn’t let you breathe. The song is all about fighting the system, which we love to see. It’s another hard-hitting song with a very thick instrumentation. This one was completely written by the members Jiung, Intak, Jongseob.

The last track on the EP is ‘If you call me’ which is the only slower song on the full thing. I love the guitar opening that blends into the vocals of Jongseob so smoothly. This R&B track is such a lovely ending! This track was written and co-composed by all the P1Harmony members.

‘DISHARMONY: BREAK OUT’ by P1Harmony is a very interesting listen with tons of great rapping, fabulous vocals and interesting melodies. You can find the EP on Spotify here. If you want to read our review for their previous comeback, you can do that here
