[Indie Pick] Modern Darakbang

We’re back with a new Indie Pick and this time we’re taking a closer look at the discography of Modern Darakbang. Let’s dive in!

Debut

Modern Darakbang is an acoustic indie duo consisting of singer Kim Yun-cheol and bassist Jeong Byeong-geol. They got together in 2013 and released their first single that same year.

A couple of months later, in 2014 they came back with the single ‘Green Butterfly’ as well as the single album ‘Standing Byello’. ‘Green Butterfly’ is one of my favorite tracks by them.

In 2015 they came out with the singles ‘바라만봐도’, ‘문자가왔어’ and ‘날아가라네요’.

Their first EP ‘Still’ was released in 2018.

The year after they released the three singles ‘CHUNCHEON’, ‘Dancing in the dark’ and ‘Marry Me’.

The following two years there were a lot of single releases, so here are some of my favorites.

The two singles ‘Your Heart’ and ‘Fall in love’ were dropped last year in 2023.

Modern Darakbang’s latest comeback was the single ‘You and I, Two of Us’.
